It's Bigger than me Inclusive Obesity care

Over the past several years, the It’s Bigger Than Me movement strives to change the way people in America perceive obesity. This unbranded campaign sponsored by Novo Nordisk is inspiring people to share their personal stories and behavioral changes as a reaction. The Inclusive Obesity Care Initiative aims to help improve the future of healthcare for the obesity community by spotlighting the importance of inclusive, compassionate care and calling upon healthcare providers to better manage overall health by working as a collaborative team.

Created by our team for the obesity community, the IOC initiative ally marker is a way for health care providers – and all of us - to share and show their support for inclusive obesity care. This is the world’s first symbol designed to signal safe spaces, free from bias, and care without judgment for people living with obesity.

To illuminate the symbol, we sat down with real people living with obesity and doctors to share their experiences, with Queen Latifah’s support and encouragement, while creating the symbol through art.
